Role and Responsibilities

We are looking for an enthusiastic, self-motivated, and well-spoken Telemarketer to join our Johannesburg Sale Team. The successful applicant will be required to generate appointments and sales by cold calling or answering requests in the fast-paced environment of standby power systems.

Responsibilities

• Cold calling using given lists of contacts
• Generating leads
• Customer service – taking calls and responding to emails from potential clients
• Asking pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements
• Using scripts to provide information about products and services, but having the product knowledge and ability to adjust the scripts where necessary, to target customer interests and needs better
• To schedule appointments for sales staff to meet prospective customers
• Using the company’s CRM system to maintain records of customer contacts
• Going the “extra mile” to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
• Implementing marketing campaigns

Requirements

• Working knowledge of relevant computer programs and telephone systems
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in English
• Persistent and results-orientated
• Patient and able to handle customer rejection
